Adorable Baby Elephant Tries to Wake Up Sleeping Brother

In a heartwarming moment at Kruger National Park, South Africa, a baby elephant was caught on camera trying to wake his sleepy brother.

Captured by a tourist on safari, the scene shows the playful side of elephants, a trait scientists have identified as one of four distinct personality traits in African elephants.

Elephants lying flat on their sides is a rare sight, usually seen among the younger ones. In this instance, the baby elephant, eager to play, was not ready to let his older brother enjoy a peaceful nap. Determined, he climbed over his brother, using his front legs to nudge him awake.

Looking dazed and confused, the older elephant remained lying down while his younger sibling persisted. The baby elephant continued to push and nudge more aggressively, insisting it was time to play.

Eventually, the older brother decided he had enough. He quickly stood up, appearing bewildered by the playful interruption.

This delightful footage contrasts sharply with the usual serene experiences of safari tours in Kruger National Park.

Last month, tourists on a safari witnessed a much more brutal side of nature when a pride of hungry lions killed a lone water buffalo.
