In a heartwarming video from a sanctuary in northern Thailand, a baby elephant named Khun-Seuk steals the show with his amusing nap-time behavior.
The footage, taken at a sanctuary in Chiang Mai, captures Khun-Seuk peacefully snoozing. The young elephant makes comical noises as he sleeps and twitches his trunk, clearly enjoying his rest.

Partway through the video, he wakes up briefly, moves his trunk into his mouth, and calmly gazes at the camera without making a sound.
After a moment, Khun-Seuk adjusts his leg and flicks his ear before settling back down. Once comfortable, he closes his eyes and drifts off again. Though the noises he makes this time are softer, he continues to entertain with his sleepy antics.
Khun-Seuk’s mahout shared, “He’s just like a human—he loves to sleep. But the sounds he makes are some of the strangest I’ve ever heard.”
The video shows a tranquil scene at the sanctuary, with people walking around in the background, though none of it seems to bother Khun-Seuk as he enjoys his nap.
