Adorable Baby Elephant’s Playful Antics Win Hearts on Safari

Experiencing a safari can be thrilling, especially when encountering wildlife up close. While many safari-goers may see lions, tigers, zebras, giraffes, or rhinos, sighting a baby elephant is rare. This is precisely what happened during one memorable safari adventure.

A group of tourists traveling in an open-top vehicle had a delightful encounter with a baby elephant and its mother.

The baby elephant approached the vehicle and began performing playful antics, much to the amusement of the onlookers.

As the baby elephant got closer, its mother quickly moved to protect her calf. This prompted the safari guide and driver, James Hendry, to drive a short distance away.

However, feeling secure near its mother, the baby elephant took a moment to nurse before resuming its playful behavior.

With its belly complete, the baby elephant entertained the tourists once more. It mock-charged the vehicle, attempting to scare the humans in a charming display of bravado. Standing only a few feet away, the mother kept a watchful eye on her adventurous offspring.

After nursing, the baby elephant followed its mother as she moved towards their herd. Yet, the playful calf couldn’t resist one more attempt to engage with the tourists.
