In a scene reminiscent of David and Goliath, an astonishing video has surfaced showing a young girl in Sri Lanka fearlessly confronting a large elephant on a road, appearing to control its movement with a simple gesture.
The footage captures the dramatic moment as the child steps forward, raising her palm toward the towering creature.

Despite its size and power, the elephant hesitates and then begins to back away, responding to the girl’s confident approach. Eventually, as she advances, the elephant retreats into the nearby bush.
Viewers on YouTube expressed amazement and disbelief. One commenter exclaimed, “Oh my God, I can’t believe this,” while another questioned whether the girl’s parents had been reprimanded for allowing her near a wild animal.
